Tips To Select Airbrush Compressor
If you need to set up your own airbrush workshop with the appropriate equipment. there are many tools and accessories you need to take care. Besides, you need to set up work benches, lighting, cabinets etc. As for airbrush equipment, one of it is the airbrush compressor. Blow are some of the tips to select an airbrush compressor:-
1) Compressor capacity
To decide the capacity of the compressor is easy for a start. You merely use your air consumption of your airbrush tools as a yardstick. This information can be found on your product catalog or user manual. Add about 15-20% to it will be you required compressor capacity
2) Oil Free
A good airbrush painting do not allow oil stain. The source of oil can come from the compressor. Hence, you have a choice to pick an oil-free compressor which is normally more expensive. Alternative, you can used proper oil filter on the compressed air line before it reaches your airbrush tool
3) Noise Level
An airbrush painting require a quite work environment. A low noise level compressor is desired if you place the compressor inside your workshop. Otherwise, you can install the compressor outside the work room
4) Air Moisture
The compressed air generated by the airbrush compressor is not moisture free. In fact, due to the characteristics of the air, moisture is unavoidable. Good thing is the compressor often equipped with moisture separator before the airline.
