Airbrush Tanning, how do i know if they know what they are doing?
Things to know about Airbrush tanning salons.
There is a right and a wrong way to airbrush a client. some signs to watch out for when wanting a airbrush tan.
First the spray booths that auto spray are always bad, they cant make sure you get an even tan cause its a machine and you can turn wrong and it wont care.
Second the booths usually have to use less natural solution and that means potentially harmful chemicals all over you. Well over 90% of booths have a orange look with the finished tan instead of the natural brown so people will know you have went to a booth spray rather than having a natural looking tan.
Airbrush tans…
These are the way to tan, however you must ask questions to the “professional” that you go to, while getting tanned by a person is way better there are signs you must watch out for.
1. Do they want to put what they will call barrier cream all over your fingers and toes? If they do they most likely (98% chance) they do not know how to properly airbrush you. No professional that actually knows what they are doing needs to take that step, this would show that they have not had any education in airbrushing, and i would avoid them.
2. Ask to see a photo of work they have done. Even if the photos are not taken by a good photographer you will still be able to see if its brown or orange, even or not. If they do not have a single photo then they may be attempting to hide their work. Not seeing some ones work is crazy you wouldn’t go to a tattoo shop or an art gallery and purchase something you have never seenwould you? Dont do it at a tanning salon.
Where to look for one?
Online is a great and fast way to look for a brick and mortar location that does it while keeping in mind what you have read above. Remember to that people doing it from their homes is risky and they may not know what they are doing. Any one can purchase an airbrush and try to spray. A actual legitamate business that has a GOOD track record is better than one in a basement some where. Ask your friends and family, most people wont blurt out they got one unless asked if they know of some where. Natural or Unhealthy? If the salon can not verbally spout off things about their product that you get sprayed with this is a great sign its not up to par. If you go some where that turns you orange, it will most likely be due to you not listening to this advice that is given freely. The average airbrush tan costs around 40 dollars in most states.
